Experimental Media Workshop
For our Experimental Media Project Week we combined 2D drawings with animated pure 3D models, programmed them in vvvv and made them interactive in cooperation with Antony Rayzhekov.
The scope of his teaching practice is the exploration of different approaches in interconnecting miltiple media, the performer and/or the audience with a cybernetic audiovisual installation by using custom developed or open-source technologies, including employment of biofeedback sensors, computer vision, generative visualization algorithms, generative sound and music algorithms, using microbiological agents and neutral networks. To achieve this Antony included introduction to computer languages such as C++ (Arduino), Phyton, the real-time graphical programming environment VVVV and the sound synthesis focused computer language – Supercollider, in combination with development and integration of open-hardware based platforms such as Arduino.
My part in the project was to model the plants in Blender. You can see me in the video below testing the function of the Arduino Sensor.
